Getting Started

This week I pulled my husband into the 21th century by creating him a FaceBook page. I'm still questioning the wisdom of that. Now here I am trying to "blog".  I want to share my story and the journey of our ministry and what God is doing in me and through me, so what better way. Now, if anyone reads this or not, that is up to God and God alone.
This is the one small view of the land many of us fell in love with. Grace Banks took this shot from our school as the sun was setting and we were getting ready to go to the crusade we were holding not a mile away, but a world away. We had to travel through our lil village that held so much love for us and at the same time so much evil. You literally couldab see it in the eyes of those who praticed witchcraft!
As beautifu as the above picture is, this is what stole our hearts:
This is one of many picture of the children! We fell in love with them the moment we saw them, and they would come running to us, you can see the little boy that is being dragged wasn't too thrilled to meet the mzungus (Ugandan for white person).
My "peps" Heather Norred, Grace Banks, Megan Norred, and Beth Fermanck did a three day Women's Bible Study with the women of the village and listened to the needs these dear women had, and we came away with two needs ripping at our hearts: the children and their education, and the women wanting a way to earn money to support their families.

How do you put into words how moved you are when God tells you, help these people! Then total fear sets in, next you are screaming at God, "What can I do?"  Surely there are people who would be much better at this and I know much smart and surely have way more money. But God being God, tells me, as He always has..."Walk by faith, not by sight". There is an African Proverb on Face Book I need to put on here that I just love....it says if you think you are too small to do anything big, spend the night with a misquote! One little misquote can make a huge man man MOVE, so if you put your faith in God, follow His lead, you CAN NOT FELL!
If you are reading this, I covet your prayer.(please forgive the mistake, English was never my strong suit)
